What Is Cross-Docking?

Cross-docking is receiving freight at one dock and sending it back out from another, optimized for rapid turnaround and short-term dwell times (often 2 to 3 days). Instead of putting product into long-term storage, we transfer it efficiently between trailers or modes to keep your supply chain moving.

When Cross-Docking Makes Sense
